Morning, evening and holiday: the scenarios that run the house for you
How one-touch modes turn dozens of manual steps into a single button — and how the automations behind them save energy and time without any programming.
There are moments in the day when you repeat the same movements: waking up, coming home, going to bed, leaving for a holiday. A mode (a scenario) gathers those steps into a single touch — and performs them identically every time, including the energy chores you would otherwise forget.
What a scenario (mode) is
A scenario is a set of actions attached to one button or one event. Instead of ten manual steps — a single press from the dashboard, the phone or the wall panel.
Morning mode
- gentle pre-heating of the bathroom and the kitchen before you wake;
- blinds go up and soft lighting comes on;
- appliances and the coffee machine start after a set time rather than instantly.
Evening mode
- unnecessary appliances and lighting switch off;
- the perimeter closes and the alarm arms;
- the temperature drops for sleep and the blinds come down against the neighbours' view.
Holiday mode
When nobody is home, the mode protects both energy and the house:
- lighting and air conditioning switch off, heating drops to an economy setpoint;
- irrigation continues on schedule;
- the alarm and video surveillance run at full capacity;
- high-standby appliances are cut.
Alongside these, HoumeOS ships the four global modes Home, Away, Night and Holiday, each with a ready set of actions.
Other useful scenarios
- Guests — soft lighting and a warmer temperature for the evening.
- Sunny day — steer the surplus into the water heater and the car.
- Robot vacuum — start at an hour when it doesn't disturb anyone.
No programming required
Modes are assembled from ready-made actions and conditions through the interface — the integrator configures them once, and you simply press the button. No code, no dependence on external services, and no broken automation when a cloud has an outage.
History and reports
Every mode leaves a trace: when it ran, what it changed, what it saved. The reports make comfort tangible — you can see the house working in your place, and tune it to be even gentler.
